About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the regional structure for Oxfam and enable high quality programmes across MENA that promote gender equality. In addition this individual will provide leadership, develop an agreed strategy for advancing the capacity and practice on promoting gender equality and women’s rights; she/he will also support the campaigns and policy roles in promoting gender equality and women’s rights through policy and campaigning work.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a senior leader with substantial working experience in gender justice and women’s rights in the MENA region. The ideal candidate will have experience, knowledge and passion for advancing gender justice in the MENA region and be bilingual English/Arabic.
In addition, she/he will have excellent proven thematic expertise on some of these areas: livelihoods, stand alone GJ programming, humanitarian response, women, peace and security, women’s bodily integrity, women’s political participation, women’s access to justice.
Additional Information
Contract Length: 24 Months
This position is to be based in Tunis. The candidates’ ability to work and travel within the MENA Region is required.
