FunDza believes that reading books and stories can change lives. Reading ignites the imagination, it encourages critical thinking, and it develops empathy and a deeper understanding of the world. But for many in SA, their lives are 'book-poor' thanks to the high cost of books and the lack of great local content. FunDza exists to change this: it is commissioning writers to produce new stories - in English and other SA languages - that appeal to young people, and its providing a platform for SA youth to get published too! #LoveReading
