The Global Programs for Research and Training an affiliate of the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) seeks a candidate with experience in eLearning instructional design. The eLearning instructional designer should have hands on experience in working with eLearning authoring tools preferably articulate 360. This is a temporary position for three months to work on a specific training content course conversion from face to face workshop materials to eLearning.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review face to face courses training content to determine an appropriate instructional design
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content
- Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
- Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process and promote course interactivity
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
- Maintain project documentation and course folders
- Design and deliver creative e-learning solutions
- Developing courses instructional scripts, detailing the navigation and functionalities
- Working closely with subject matter experts to refine learning materials
- Recommend and develop optimal eLearning content delivery practices to reach a wide range of audience
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education qualification.
- Previous working experience in instructional design and e-content conversion for at least 5 years
- Demonstrate hands on experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate.
- In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts for t voice overs and other course videos.
- Excellent written English with an eye for grammar and spelling errors
- Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Camtasia)
