The M&E Data Manager works under the Deputy Team Leader in the Evidence and Learning Facility for South Sudan (ELFSS) team, and will be responsible for the overall quality control of data collection as well as the creation and development of data gathering and analysis systems. They will also supporting in the production of final analytical products for ELFSS Third Party Monitoring.
In particular, the responsibilities include:
- Quality control of all field data, both qualitative and quantitative;
- Work closely with the Analyst, Research Manager, and the Deputy Team Leader to improve the analytical workflow;
- Work in collaboration with the Fieldwork Manager and researchers to ensure analytical considerations are considered throughout all project stages;
- Work with the Research Manager to keep developing data collection systems and tools feeding into the analysis;
- Produce topline analysis products to feed into final fact sheets;
- Time permitting, work on full fact sheets for submission to DFID;
- Take part in interactions with implementing partners and DFID to validate and disseminate findings
- Lead capacity building of researchers on aspects of analysis;
- Take part in debriefing and capturing learnings from field researchers;
- Performing other tasks as agreed with the Analyst and the Deputy Team Leader.
Requirements
This position is open to South Sudanese nationals only.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field with 3 years of experience in research/M&E OR Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5 years of experience in research/M&E
- Fluency in written & spoken English
- Fluency in STATA/SPSS/R and statistical analysis concepts
