Blue Door ECE
Blue Door ECE is an evidence-based preschool system created to provide children throughout South Africa with affordable access to the high-quality early education they need.
Many ECE interventions in resource-constrained contexts have taken the approach of cutting out or reducing the expensive ingredients of high quality ECE, e.g. teacher training. Blue Door is unique in our commitment to finding innovative ways to affordably provide all the ingredients of high quality ECE. Applying insights from the available rigorous evidence in behavioural science and early childhood development in an ongoing field pilot, we are iteratively building a scalable high-quality ECE model for the South African context.
