Irene Homes seeks to appoint is a Charity Shop Assistant to be based in Pretoria.
Starting date: 1 August 2017
The Assistant will be under the guidance of the Shop Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and sorting of donations
- Pricing of goods
- Ensure moving the goods to the correct area
- Allocate storage space to goods
- Relocate and re-stacking goods to make space for new deliveries
- Maintain sorting and storing areas in a tidy state and clearing away packing material and debris
- Regulate poor and best sellers
- Render a PR service to donors and members of the public
- Sort problems that affect the sorting and storage areas
- Relieve cashier on daily basis
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification – Grade 12
- Strong leadership
- Passion for fashion and attention to details
- Customer service and good people skills
- Communication skills
- Security conscious and self-motivated
- Proactive, accurate and numerate
- Ability to work in a flexible way to meet the needs of the shop and the customers
- Ability to manage cash transactions and ensure accurate records are maintained
- Have the ability to promote and market the shop to increase the shop profile and customer influx
- Ability to work with volunteers
- Understandings the NPO environment
- Work experience in the retail business
- A qualification in wholesale and retail operations
