The Danish Family Planning Association (DFPA) is seeking an experienced and qualified consultant to to carry out a thematic review of the programming and implementation of the thematic area “SRHR and Climate Change/Environmental Sustainability” in Kenya and Uganda.
Background Under the Danida Strategic Partnership, 2018-2021, Danish Family Planning Association (DFPA), Reproductive Health Uganda (RHU) and Family Health Options Kenya (FHOK) have been implementing projects in Uganda and Kenya under the thematic area “ SRHR and Climate Change/Environmental Sustainability”. In both countries, the interventions have taken place in a collaboration with WWF in Kenya and in Uganda partly in the capitals and partly in the field. In Kenya, the area of implementation is the coastal area of Kilifi County in East Kenya and in Uganda; the interventions take place in Kagadi and Rubirizi districts in the Southwestern part of Uganda. In Uganda, the concrete interventions are being implemented in a collaboration with Kitara CSO Network (KISCON) and Ndangara-Nyakiyanja Tutungukye Group (NNTG).
A thematic review of the project “SRHR and Climate Change/Environmental Sustainability interventions in Uganda and Kenya” is meant to provide the DFPA with information on how the structures of collaboration have worked with regard to the Theory of Change and in terms of reaching expected results. The review shall inform future projects and thus give the DFPA a clear idea on whether we are on “the right track” in terms of the feasibility of the project models and collaboration as regards to achieving results.

Competences and qualifications of Consultant DFPA is seeking a consultant who has the following competences and experiences:
· Proven experiences from other government donor financed projects.
· Knowledge of environmental sustainability/climate changes in a development context.
· Professional experience from development assistance to Uganda and/or Kenya, including experience with civil society organizations.
· Be fluent in English.
· Knowledge of SRHR is considered an asset.
