Ghana Health and Education Initiative
In addition to GHEI's team of local management and staff, GHEI employs three positions that are based in Humjibre, Ghana: Health Program Coordinator, Education Program Coordinator, and Communications Officer. Responsibilities range from project monitoring and evaluation to local capacity building. Additionally, coordinators oversee groups of short-term volunteers through our Summer Serve & Learn programs who work on specific interventions designed to complement GHEI's ongoing projects. The coordinators serve a term of 13-24 months, with preference given to applicants who can commit to 24 months. This term includes a one-month overlap period with the outgoing Program Coordinator to allow for training. GHEI provides free housing and utilities in addition to a local stipend during the coordinator's term.
