Ilitha Labantu seeks to appoint a Provincial Food Distribution Centre Manager to be based in South Africa.

Responsibilities:
- Formulate formal relationships with Private Sector (CSI Departments) and develop and sponsorship strategy
- Create Promotional Material for the PFDC Programme
- Improve Ilitha Labantu Public Relations Profile
- Monitor and evaluate PFDC Programs, Staff and CNDC’s
- Formulate stakeholder networks and engage in social mobilisation against gender-based violence
- Provide training and development for PFDC Staff
- Conduct on-going quality assurance, impact assessment and contribute formulation of relevant programmes
- Develop and implement innovative education projects and programmes
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in the functioning of the Warehouse
- The PFDC Manager must communicate expectations; planning, monitoring, and evaluation of Community Nutritional Development Centres through implementation of the projects implementation plan
- PFDC Manager must provide weekly or monthly plans, schedules, shifts to PFDC Staff
- Enforce policies, procedures and ethos of the organisation to all staff members who work in the PFDC
- Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans
- Prepare productivity, quality, and customer-service standards within the programme
- Determine system improvements; implementing change to better run the program and implement strategies in combatting hunger and poverty
- Create opportunities for expansion and growth of programme by creating and maintaining personal networks and gathering resources and ensuring sustainability of the programme without the assistance of government but through the private sector and other channels
- Accomplish human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; in the form most relevant to your assumption and ensuring the smooth operation of the PFDC
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management/ Social Science or any degree equivalent, with two years’ experience in Project Management within an NGO field
- Fluent in written and spoken English, isiXhosa and any other language
- Ability to structure and convey concepts in writing is essential
- Experience managing a project or program, preferably in social services
- Experience working in programs focused on domestic violence and abuse, women’s development, or related field preferred
- Experience assessing program needs
- Experience with program reporting
- Ability to maintain reporting systems and monitor program goals
- Follow-up skills and analytical thinking
- Ability to develop working materials
- High initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritise and multitask
- Ability to complete tasks in a professional timely manner
