Seeking Gender Evaluation Expert – WFP Mozambique Gender Transformative and Nutrition Sensitive (GTNS) Project

Position Description: GRI is seeking a Gender Expert for an anticipated evaluation of the World Food Programme’s Mozambique Gender Transformative and Nutrition Sensitive (GTNS) Project. Primary responsibilities include:
· Contribute to the design methodology and data collection instruments
· Conduct gender analysis of secondary data
· Collect primary data
· Participate in team meetings and meetings with stakeholders
· Contribute to drafting and revision of evaluation products
Qualifications:
· Proven technical expertise in gender evaluation and analysis
· Demonstrated experience supporting similar evaluations; experience with WFP evaluations preferred
· Strong gender research and analytical skills in Portuguese and English
· Proven background in gender research methodologies; experience in designing and conducting quantitative studies preferred; statistical analysis skills preferred
· In-depth knowledge of nutrition programming, within the wider context of food security in low-income country contexts
· Gender and nutrition specific expertise and good knowledge of and experience in evaluating gender issues in nutrition and food security in a low-income country context
· Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience
· MA required; PhD preferred
· In-depth knowledge of and familiarity with the Mozambique country context
· Proven success liaising with representatives at all levels on gender and inclusion issues
· Ability and interest to travel in Chemba district in Sofala province in Mozambique
