Seeking Evaluation Team Leader – WFP Mozambique Gender Transformative and Nutrition Sensitive (GTNS) Project

Position Description: GRI is seeking a Team Lead for an anticipated evaluation of the World Food Programme’s Mozambique Gender Transformative and Nutrition Sensitive (GTNS) Project. Primary responsibilities include:
· Defining the evaluation approach and methodology
· Guiding and managing the team
· Leading the evaluation missions and representing the evaluation team
· Drafting and revising, as required, the inception report, baseline report, any mid-line reports and the final evaluation reports
· Giving end of field work (ie exit) debriefing presentation and evaluation report in line with DEQAS
· Liaising with the WFP evaluation manager, evaluation committee, and evaluation reference group
Qualifications:
· Proven technical expertise in evaluation
· Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing similar evaluations; experience with WFP evaluations preferred
· Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills in Portuguese and English
· Proven practical expertise of designing and implementing rigorous evaluations, ideally in food and nutrition
· Proven background in social science research methodologies; proven experience in designing and conducting quantitative studies; statistical analysis skills strongly preferred
· In-depth knowledge of nutrition programming, within the wider context of food security in low-income country contexts
· Gender and nutrition specific expertise and good knowledge of and experience in evaluating gender issues in nutrition and food security in a low-income country context
· Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience
· MA required; PhD preferred
· In-depth knowledge of and familiarity with the Mozambique country context
· Proven success liaising with representatives at all levels on gender and inclusion issues
· Ability and interest to travel in Chemba district in Sofala province in Mozambique
