Project Empower
Project Empower is an eThekwini based nonprofit organisation implementing community programmes to reduce HIV and violence against women and girls.
Project Empower is skilled at community entry, obtaining stakeholder consent and community mobilisation and has an efficient, experienced and effective team of community facilitators with many years’ experience. Over the past 16 years, Project Empower has developed good programme planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation systems as well as human resource, financial and compliance systems. The operations of Project Empower are guided by a policy set approved by a range of donor organisations including Joint Gender Fund, Oxfam Australia and FHI360. Strategic direction and financial oversight responsibilities lie with the Advisory Board.
