General Background

Vodafone Egypt Foundation was established in 2003 as the first Telco Foundation in Egypt and as one of 28 Vodafone Foundations around the world, with the purpose of combining Vodafone’s technology and charitable giving to address some of the world’s most pressing problems by “Connecting for Good”. Vodafone Egypt Foundation dedicated to improve lives by empowering and enabling its beneficiaries and their families to reach their full potential, while living a quality life. The Foundation Project Coordinator will assist in the implementation of all on ground operations and activities as well as support the scaling of the Foundation’s Flagship programs and main pillars.

Required qualifications, competences and experience

  • supports the implementation cycle of on-ground activities of all foundation pillars and its flagship programs
  • Carries out research activities and gathers insights required for planning and implementation of education, health and volunteering on-ground activities
  • Assists the conduct of foundation Monitoring and Evaluation activities and updates information on progress and reports regularly on the status of results on foundation databases
  • Develops updated processes ensuring sustainable scaling of all projects
  • Supports evidence-based development of Foundation education and volunteering platforms Ta3limy and YallaSharek
  • Carries out foundation event planning and logistics to carry out volunteer, fundraising and mega events
  • Manages all Foundation volunteers including support and champion volunteers
  • Ensures the quality of training and workshop material prepared for capacity development and implementation thereof
  • Supports cooperation and ensures regular contact with foundation stakeholders and partners
  • Manages foundation vendors ensuring positive direction and brand positioning
  • Promotes exchange on the interlinkages between different VF teams locally and globally
  • Maintains structured documentation of all relevant activities and ensures documents are regularly updated
  • Supports the development of beneficiaries’ stories and testimonials and maintenance of photo galleries
  • Supports the enhancement of foundation internal processes

Required qualifications, competences and experience

Qualifications:

  • University degree in economics, political science, development studies, or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in relevant field

Professional Experience:

  • Prior experience in development cooperation and agencies
  • Prior experience in stakeholder management and government relations
  • Prior experience in education, health and volunteering is preferred
  • Prior experience in project management is preferred
  • Prior experience in fieldwork

Other knowledge and additional competences:

  • Good knowledge about the Egyptian developmental and philanthropic ecosystem
  • Excellent written and spoken command of English and Arabic
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to different governorates
