CNFA is seeking applications from qualified candidates for Grants Agricultural Officer(s) position for the USAID Quality Technologies Revitalizing Agriculture (Q’tra) activity. The purpose of this activity will be to work with farmers in the West Bank and Gaza (WBG) to improve climate-resilient conservation and management of freshwater resources and associated ecosystems by increasing the availability, quality, and environmental resilience of drinking water supply sources. The duration of this Activity will be four years.

Position Description:

The Grants Agricultural Officer(s) will be responsible for monitoring procurement and grant lifecycle processes and activities, ensuring compliance with USAID and local and national laws and conducting periodic inventories. The Grants Agricultural Officer will be responsible for supporting activities to identify project grantees and will be responsible for supporting the grantees’ design implementation timelines, milestones, and follow-up as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor the procurement and grant lifecycle processes, ensuring that all activities related to grants are in compliance with USAID regulations and guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting grant documentation to e nsure strict adherence to local and national laws and regulations throughout the grant lifecycle and make certain that grant activities are compliant with USAID requirements.
  • Develop grants implementation timeline/calendar, milestone for grantee and follow up accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team to ensure that grant activities are effectively monitored and evaluated for their impact and outcome
  • Closely collaborate with Finance and Administration team to facilitate and support the procurement of goods and services under grant funds.
  • Support and follow up of grantees to implement activities according to the approved business plan.
  • Facilitate
  •  communication and coordination with grant recipients, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of grant programs.
  • Provide technical assistance as required to build the capacity of local partners and grantees. eVjbhlL BVUcJh
  • Review technical and financial applications from local organizations and individual farmers including the negotiation and execution plans of grants.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in agronomy or agricultural industry preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience supervising grant portfolios in the context of agricultural
  • Experience working with NGOs, USAID contractors, or agricultural development organizations preferred
  • Ability to write concise and clear reports.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong intrapersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster and maintain a team environment.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
