The Danish funded Uganda Refugee Resilience Initiative (URRI) promotes climate resilience in refugee-affected areas and regions of Uganda through climate smart agriculture, sustainable management of the environment and women’s empowerment. Together with Save the Children International and the Danish Refugee Council, the Royal Embassy of Denmark in Uganda is currently seeking a Head of URRI Secretariat to promote resilience in, refugee and host communities in line whit the UN Global Compact on Refugees. The Secretariat is responsible for the day-to-day coordination between the two consortia as well as the Embassy and the joint practical issues of concern.

We are looking for a Head of URRI Secretariat with a minimum of 10 years development corporation experience, preferably related to building resilience in a refugee. Further, it would be an advantage to have worked in the East African region. You should have substantial experience in program planning, implementation and financial management, while also having experience of collaborating with governmental institutions and civil society organisations. Experience in managing multi-stakeholder processes would be desirable.
