The Building Resilient Community Ecosystems in the Fight Against Child Labour project, implemented in Kailahun District, Sierra Leone, is a collaborative effort led by Planting Naturals (PN) in partnership with Action on Poverty (APT), Goldtree Sierra Leone Ltd., and Movement for Assistance and Promotion of Rural Communities (MAPCO). The project addresses child labour in the palm oil sector by tackling systemic root causes and creating sustainable income alternatives for up to 2,000 farming families (11,000 beneficiaries) across 40 communities. Key areas of focus include child rights advocacy, improved food security, alternative livelihoods, and strengthened supply chain accountability. By promoting community-led solutions and building local capacity, the project aims to ensure long-term reductions in child labour. As the project nears its completion in March 2025, a final evaluation is crucial to assess its impact, draw lessons, and guide future initiatives.
Final Evaluation Objectives:

Approach & Methodology:
The evaluator will:
- Review project documents and monitoring data.
- Design and verify qualitative and quantitative data collection.
- Conduct interviews with project beneficiaries and stakeholders.
- Analyse specific impacts on girls and children with disabilities.
- Deliver a 20-page final report with an executive summary, findings, and recommendations.
