Here’s where you come in:

As the Chief of Party, Ghana, you will provide overall technical leadership and managerial direction for the project. S/he will have the depth and breadth of technical expertise and experience in child protection, development and care, including gender equity and Child Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM), early child development (including children with disabilities) family strengthening (safe and nurturing care, care reform, alternative care), and social service systems and workforce strengthening to provide leadership for the project. Project budget will be USD $9.9 Million over a 5-year period. Estimated project start date is June 2025.

Requirements include:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional experience in social services, child protection, development and care, or social protection is required. At least five years of this experience must have included program management and data and policy analysis of social sector programs.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of USG project management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience to build and maintain productive working relationships with a wide network of institutional partners and stakeholders, including high-level host country governments and international agencies.
  • Proven track record of building teams and fostering collaboration in order to achieve goals, meet milestones and produce quality results.
  • Demonstrated at least 5 years knowledge of USAID procedures pertaining to project design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and financial management and reporting.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Ghana’s local languages.
  • Master’s degree in social work, sociology, law, child development or related areas is required.
  • 40% Domestic/international travel is required.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
