ISLAMIC RELIEF SOMALIA

Location: Balcad (8 positions) & Xawadley (1 position)

JOB SUMMARY

The scope registrar will organize comprehensive sessions for the beneficiaries to raise awareness, assist them in registering their biometric data and scope, and guide them through the process of topping up and redeeming their benefits effectively.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

  • Collect quality data on participants, including biometrics, in accordance with the WFP scope registration system guidelines.
  • Make sure that the rough draft list of participants is approved by the village committee.
  • Work with and collaborate with community selection committees and leaders to fast-track participant registration.
  • Distribute and verify participant identification tokens before proceeding with the participant registration process.
  • Verify with participants whether they are part of other similar interventions that can trigger duplicates.
  • Cross-check participant data with the information provided by the elders and the identification token.
  • Conduct sensitization awareness before and during the scope registration to prevent risks associated with misunderstanding, inclusion, and exclusion errors.
  • Work closely with Field Monitors, community mobilizers, and the MEAL team.
  • Liaise with and take part in project activities as required and instructed by the Officer.
  • Perform other functions as requested by the immediate supervisor.

  • Proven ability to work creatively and independently both in the field and in the office.
  • Good inter-personal skills, commitment and motivation
  • Must be a Somali national-fluent in written and spoken Somali and local languages.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma/ Degree in Social Work, Community Development, agricultural science, agronomy,
  • Good technical knowledge on Computer usage.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • At least 2 years of field monitoring/ Field level project implementation experience working with local or international NGOs more preferably cash based projects in a similar level is required.

  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the manager.
