The International Transformation Foundation (ITF) is an international youth-led non-profit organization established in December 2009 and officially registered in Kenya in August 2010. ITF was founded with the belief that education, leadership, and entrepreneurship are key tools in addressing youth unemployment and poverty worldwide.

Through youth leadership, entrepreneurship, community development, and educational programs, ITF works to empower young people and support sustainable community transformation. ITF currently implements projects in areas such as youth empowerment, clean water access, entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, international exchange programs, and community development initiatives including the Join the Pipe Project and Erasmus Plus partnership.

Position Summary

ITF is seeking a passionate, organized, and self-driven Administration and Human Resource Assistant to support the organization’s daily administrative and volunteer coordination activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Director and various departments to support office administration, volunteer engagement, recruitment processes, documentation, and organizational coordination.

This opportunity is ideal for young people seeking practical experience in administration, human resource management, nonprofit operations, and youth development work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of office administrative activities;
  • Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes;
  • Maintain and update volunteer and organizational records;
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, interviews, and organizational activities;
  • Support internal communication and documentation management;
  • Prepare reports, letters, meeting minutes, and administrative documents;
  • Support implementation of organizational policies and procedures;
  • Assist in coordination of staff and volunteer welfare activities;
  • Provide logistical support during trainings, meetings, and field activities;
  • Perform any other administrative and HR-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Candidate Specifications

  • Must be between 18 – 30 years old;
  • Must commit to a minimum period of six (6) months;
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field is an added advantage;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work independently and within a multicultural team environment;
  • Passionate about youth empowerment and community development.

Compensation

  • Although ITF volunteers enjoy valuable learning opportunities, networking, leadership exposure, career growth, and international engagement opportunities, ITF does NOT provide salaries, stipends, or any other form of financial compensation.
  • Volunteers operate on a full-time volunteer basis and are responsible for personal expenses such as accommodation and home-to-office transport. ITF only facilitates direct operational expenses incurred during official organizational activities.

At completion of the training and mentorship, we loan them computers and other technological devices to help them set up a computer based business such as cybercafé. 2. Join the Pipe Project: Also know as a water kiosk at school it consist of Financing Community based Schools and youth associations to set up join the Pipe water Kiosk model at school/ community across Kenya for people to access clean drinking water and sanitation whenever possible. 3. Jijenge Kijana Fund- a youth Livelihood Pathways offering microcredit, micro- saving and training enabling ITF members to engage in productive and stable livelihoods. 4. Youth Leadership & Entrepreneurship Trainings- Consisting of debates and workshops giving East African youth life didactic principles with intensive instructions that shoves them to expand their boundaries of knowledge molding them into great leaders and entrepreneurs .
