Helderberg Association for Persons with Disabilities
Helderberg APD is a registered Non-profit and Public Benefits Organisation. We are affiliated to Western Cape APD, but operate independently. We aim to actively lead, facilitate and promote disability awareness and integration in all its aspects.

Service Areas: Stellenbosch, Somerset West, Strand, and Gordon’s Bay.
Strategic Partnerships
To achieve integration for persons with disabilities, strong, mutually beneficial relationships are very important to us. Strategic partnerships include, but are not limited to Chambers of Commerce, educational institutions, local government and other non-profit organisations. Partnerships with and peer support systems for and by persons with disabilities are also a priority goal.
Information-sharing
We aim to become an information hub for disability-specific resources in our community. Information for persons with disabilities will include specifics on local services, organisations, job opportunities, accessibility and resources. Information for the general public will include local disability statistics, news and strategies for helping the integration of persons with disabilities.
Disability Awareness & Sensitisation
Through purposefully raising awareness in our community, we intend to integrate disability matters into local structures, policies and service delivery. We offer training relating to persons with disabilities in different types of settings.
