We are looking for 1 PHARMACIST Assistant, based in Maiduguri,
to start on 1st February, 2017
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Under the supervision of the Medical Coordinator, the pharmacist will be responsible for the following main activities in accordance to national and MdM procedures:
- Implementing a quality drugs supply system in line with MdM standards: participation in analysis of needs, preparation of regular forecasts and calculation of replenishment orders
- Implementing an effective stock management: creation of a pharmacy with appropriate storage, receiving and packing space and allowing to conduct a full medical inventory, organizing drugs storage according to international standards, organizing a monthly physical inventory
- Reception and preparation of orders: check quantities and quality of the received items, Integration of all the items into physical stock, updating of the stock cards for all the items as the electronic file (Sagastock), preparation and distribution the drugs according the field requests and projects needs, check the rationality of the requests
- Collection and analysis of drugs consumption: development and implementation of drug consumption tools, monitoring the drug consumption
- Support to OTP (Outpatient therapeutic program) and mobile clinics: capacity building of pharmacist/dispensers, organization of trainings on drug prescription and drug rationalisation, needs assessment related to drugs storage and dispensation
- Reporting and attendance to different meetings: preparation of weekly activities report, compilation of drug consumption, participation to different meetings
PROFILE REQUIRED:
- Pharmacist
- Experience in similar position
- Good knowledge with excel
- Languages (spoken and written): English
- Strong sense of responsibilities and organization skills
- Strong work ethic and rigor
- Flexibility
- Team player
