Bread for the World - Evangelical Development Service
As a worldwide active development work of the Protestant churches in Germany, we are active in more than 90 countries around the world. Together with local partners, we help poor and marginalized people to improve their life situation on their own.
What we do
A central focus of our work is food security. In times of climate change and scarce resources, the fight against hunger and lack of food is becoming increasingly important. Bread for the world supports the poor and rural population in achieving good yields with environmentally friendly and appropriate methods. We are also committed to the promotion of education and health, access to water, strengthening democracy, respect for human rights, safeguarding peace, and safeguarding creation. Because bread means more to us than food - we understand everything that man needs for life.
