Comitato Collaborazione Medica
CCM – Comitato Collaborazione Medica – is an NGO whose activities in developing countries are acknowledged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is an Onlus by law and legally acknowledged in 2010.
The vision of CCM is that every human being, even the weakest and most forgotten, must have the opportunity to enjoy the right to health in the sense of "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity" according to the definition of the World Health Organization.
Our mission: CCM supports the development processes which safeguard and promote the right to health with an integrated approach by acting on the health needs and by influencing the social-economical determinants starting from poverty identified as the main cause of the lack of health.
CCM addresses to the poorest populations and works in the most underprivileged areas of the world, through the cooperation of persons and communities in Italy and in the low income Countries.
CCM intervenes through: a. Projects of international cooperation in the health field, b. Education to the world citizenship c. Promotion of fair health policies (advocacy ) d. Interventions of promoting health in the context of migration processes.
