TRAFFIC is a joint programme of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the World Conservation Union (IUCN).[1] Traffic also works in co-operation with the Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). The programme was founded in 1976, with headquarters now located in Cambridge, United Kingdom, and regional bases in Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe and Oceania with national offices within these regions.
TRAFFIC, the wildlife trade monitoring network, works to ensure that trade in wild animals and plants is not a threat to the conservation of nature. It actively monitors and investigates wildlife trade and provides information to diverse audiences worldwide as a basis for effective conservation policies and programmes. TRAFFIC is a strategic alliance of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). TRAFFIC is an international network which is organised into six regional hubs.This position will work closely with TRAFFIC’s Senior Finance and Administration Officer to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters in the regional office of TRAFFIC East/Southern AfricaThe salary range for this position is between USD 23,000 - 29,000 dependent on skills and experience.
