Job Description

Clinical Head is overall responsible for giving clinical services to visiting clients and supervising clinical activities and quality service provision by service providers working at the center. Ensuring center clinical service provision per accepted standard medical practices and professional code of conduct at MSIE centers.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Provide overall technical leadership and direction to the centre team;
  • Supervise center service provider staff to ensure quality clinical service provision and periodically evaluate performances of center health providers conjointly with Center head
  • Assess clinical competencies and training need for service providers and report to quality department
  • Examines in and out patients /clients in line with standard medical procedures using various types of diagnostic mechanisms;
  • Administers and prescribes drugs based on analysis of examination, test reports and findings and counselling services;
  • Performs permanent family planning methods and other procedures, after undertaking the required training program
  • Perform comprehensive abortion cares according to MSI guidelines
  • Puts the interest of clients/patients above all other considerations and Meeting patient needs; and ensures the confidentiality of all cases;
  • Ensures Maintenance of a safe, clean, orderly, and pleasant Clinic environment;
  • Ensures the maintenance of a high level standard consistent with available resources;
  • Participates in training programmes, as and when deemed necessary;
  • Initiates or collaborates in research undertakings;
  • The protection of patients’ health, safety, and well-being;
  • Enforces MSIE Infection Prevention Standards for clinic.
  • Reporting information on suspect of abuse, neglect and exploitation for children & people with mental incompetence;
  • Meeting regulatory standards and other relevant laws
  • Responsible to report clinical incidents to Clinical Services Quality department according to MSI Incident management policy
  • Ensures that clients’ cards and other records are up-to-date, orderly, properly filed and readily retrievable for reference and inspection;
  • Performs related tasks as required

Qualification Requirements

Education:

             BSc in Nursing

Experiences

              Two Years as Junior BSc nursing. No experience required for MSc

Skills, Attitudes and Attributes

  • Awareness of MOH and donors’ guidelines
  • Conscious of government, MSI and MSIE regulations
  • Awareness of concepts and strategies of quality care
  • Attendance of MSIE Pre-service training
  • Understanding the concepts of Client centered care
  • Understanding major policies/issues of government health policies, regional policies
  • Awareness of concepts of clinical competency.
  • Basic computer skills
