Plan International is changing. The Role
As Head of Programmes you will primarily be responsible for strategic program planning, design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation in line with the Programme Quality Procedures. You will also be responsible for leading, managing, and supporting all Programmes, Sponsorship, Monitoring and Evaluation to ensure the delivery of quality and integrated programming in line with the country strategy, as well as organizational standards, frameworks, and procedure.
You will directly supervise and provide support to the National Programme Managers (5), Sponsorship Manager, M&E Manager, Communications and Advocacy Manager.
Do you have what it takes?
In order to succeed in this challenging and varied role you will require demonstrable knowledge of managing development programs with preference towards disaster response and large and complex budgets.
Demonstrable knowledge on key issues in development regarding Global Goals, UNCRC and CEDAW particularly around child rights.
Excellent knowledge of strategic planning process.
Knowledge of effective participatory MER systems and processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking
Location: Based in the country office located in Kampala with extensive and regular local travel as well as some international travel
Type of Role: 5 year Fixed term Contract
Reports to: Country Director
Salary: circa $60,000 USD per annum plus benefits
