JOB PURPOSE

The accountability assistant will be based in Monguno, Borno State. S/he will be responsible for the reporting of all AAP/CCCM-related activities in the reception center as defined in the project, maintaining close interactions with IDPs (new arrivals) and local communities, ensuring strong relationships, and promoting community ownership through complaint and feedback systems. The accountability assistant is in charge of conducting a range of CFM activities, including information sharing and participatory assessments of target beneficiaries. The post holder works in close cooperation and coordination with other team members and reports to the Accountability Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for working with CCCM staffers and beneficiaries in managing complaints and feedback in the reception center as well as maintaining the integrity of information received.
  • This role will also involve management of the CFM database by ensuring proper documentation and aggregation of data including complaints received, investigated, and responded to, as well as providing detailed summaries of complaints and feedback to the reception Centre supervisor and ensuring a proper filing system and tracking for all the complaints and feedback received
  • Support in aggregating data with the help of reporting assistant from the field to a summary CFM database
  • Support in identifying complaints and other feedback trends that indicate where the Programs can improve.
  • Support in providing ad-hoc reports as requested concerning complaints and other Beneficiary feedback.
  • Receive and respond to beneficiary complaints under the directive and supervision of the Accountability officer.
  • Support in following up on complaints and feedback, internal referrals with appropriate offices and sectors, and responding to, or raised pending issues
  • Support in running and managing helpdesks and community notice boards
  • support field teams to collect information on potential case studies and success stories
  • Other duties as directed.
  • Carry out all tasks respecting key protection principles, including CP and PSEA policy.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education Minimum of BSc/HND in any discipline (preferably statistics or social sciences) from a recognized higher institution
  • At least 1 year of experience in the design and implementation of M&E in development and emergency projects.
  • Knowledge of Accountability systems is an added advantage
  • Hands-on experience in monitoring/Evaluation and supporting community-based development programs.
  • Manage and organize information systems, establish and maintain filing systems
  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis, and production of reports.
  • Expertise in analysing data using statistical software.
  • Ability to work independently and make good decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent command of English and local language oral and written.
  • Background/familiarity with Emergency.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills and excellence as a team player.
  • Must possess the ability to learn with speed and ease.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentation, etc.) are an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of the use of Google Drive
  • Strong sense of responsibility, methodical and accurate with high organizational skills.
  • Honesty and integrity and ability to cope with stressful situations
  • Languages ​​English, Hausa (Kanuri and/or Shua desirable)
