Details:

The Operations Department of Adam Smith International, Nigeria is looking to hire an Accounting Assistant for its Kano office.

The successful candidate will be required to:

a. Efficiently manage payment vouchers including generation, collection, recording and vouching;
b. Follow up with clients on missing/required documentation;
c. Assist in recording all Naira spending and other necessary information from the projects on Access Dimension Accounting Software;
d. Assist in maintaining a system for tracking advances and recovery for retirements;
e. Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records;
f. Ensure the Purchase Vouchers bear all the appropriate signatures before they are processed for payment;
g. Assist in maintaining a filing system for financial documents;
h. Ensure the petty cash is recorded real time and ensure both cash and bank reconciliation of the Kaduna office; and
i. Any other special or administrative duties that may be assigned.
