Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Coordinator- West Nile

Save the Children International is currently recruiting for the, Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Coordinator at our regional office in West Nile. The Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Coordinator is responsible for effectively and efficiently planning, management and delivery of the ASRH project components within the Impact Area in ways that meet both local and international Save the Children and respective donor requirements and guidelines.

To be successful for this role, you will have/bring the following:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a health-related discipline or Social Sciences with experience in ASRHR programming, Post graduate training in either public health, Health Systems Strengthening, Community Health, Reproductive Health, Gender etc. will be of added advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ progressive experience in planning and implementation of programs targeting capacity building of health workers including community structures in Adolescent Sexual Reproductive health.
  • Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Child Rights Governance, Health, Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection is an added advantage.
  • improving service delivery in youth friendly corners.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic planning abilities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work in hard-to-reach areas, occasionally under strenuous conditions.
  • Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.
  • Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Ability to intervene with crisis management or troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.
  • Excellent time management and planning capacity.
  • Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
  • Experience of working with the Local Government, local partners and training in ASRH, with a focus.
  • Experience of working with both international development partners and local partners such as District Local Government in production, Education, and community-based services
  • Strong monitoring, evaluation and accountability skills
  • Strong management of donor communications and visibility.
