Bridges to Prosperity (B2P) is an international non-governmental organization that specializes in the design and construction of pedestrian footbridges. We are on the hunt for reliable Bridge Site Assessor to complete a bridge needs assessment in the Western Region of Uganda. These individuals would be responsible for visiting hundreds of river crossings in need of a footbridge and collect social and technical information about each river crossing and a potential footbridge.
In order to collect accurate and reliable information, the successful candidate will need to have a strong technical background in engineering, architecture and/or surveying and be able to apply this in a practical setting. Bridges to Prosperity will provide training but candidates need to be quick learners. In addition to this, the nature of the work requires the candidate to have strong communication skills as they will be interacting with a wide range of stakeholders including, but not limited to; community leaders, institutional and governmental representatives, as well as the national and international team of Bridges to Prosperity. The position also requires someone that can work independently as the majority of the work will be independent work outside of the office.
