Based in Johannesburg, LITTLE EDEN seeks to appoint the
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

To contribute to the growth and strategic development of the organisation into the future and apply sound management capacity and ability to handle all aspects of staff management.  This role is a crucial role within the organisation and takes a level of directly reporting to the CEO, and being part of the Senior Management team.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Business Development
  • Drive revenue growth
  • Conceptualisation and implementation of programmes
  • Professional Development within both corporate and non-profit sectors
  • Project management and reporting
  • Managing of the Development,  Public Relations and Communications, Events Coordinator and Administration departments
  • Creating high levels of donor/partner retention and identifying and driving donor/partner relationship building strategies
  • Assessing current client relationships and successful activities implemented
  • Ensuring team members establish productive, professional relationships with key stakeholders

The Business Development Manager must be able to demonstrate:

  • An Honour’s degree in business management, administration, or a related field is required for this job.  An MBA would be beneficial
  • Strong financial background with experience in budgeting, and knowledge and understanding of financials
  • Previous years of work experience in a business development managing capacity of at least seven years is required
  • Business and leadership certifications are required
  • Firm understanding of and passion for the NPO environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the South African fundraising environment
  • Well-developed communication , interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Strategist who is innovative in terms of the development of day-to-day as well as medium and long term solutions
  • Well organised and ability to work under pressure
