About the Consultancy Opportunity

Horn Africa Consultants Firm (HACOF) is anticipating a 12-month project in Somalia, funded by the World Bank. This consultancy involves recruiting 400 temporary staff from various regions of Somalia, providing them with thorough training, and ensuring the availability of a skilled workforce. In addition to recruitment and training, HACOF will manage the ongoing contracts and performance of these staff, as well as monitor their progress throughout the project. We will also handle the compensation of the temporary staff during their deployment at both fixed and mobile enrollment sites nationwide.

About the Role: Team Leader and Lead Trainer

Horn Africa Consultants Firm (HACOF) is seeking to recruit a highly qualified Team Leader and Lead Trainer. The Team Leader and Lead Trainer will be expected to be regularly co-located at the client’s office in Mogadishu to facilitate training, deployment, and real-time troubleshooting.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  1. Masters in in Human Resource Management, economics or related field.
  2. At least eight (8) years of professional experience in designing and/or managing the implementation of large-scale government or humanitarian /nongovernmental programmes.
  3. Experience working with government departments is highly desirable.
  4. Ideally this experience will involve previous experience of implementing on-the-ground programs involving the recruitment, training, and deployment of temporary staff across a large geographic expanse.
  5. Must have at least one previous experience leading and delivering the training of temporary staff.
  6. Must have at least one previous experience coordinating safety and security of a dispersed team.
  7. Experience in Africa and fragile environments is highly desirable.
  8. Fluency in English is required, fluency in Somali desirable.
