. Background:

Christoffel Blinden Mission (CBM) is an international Christian development organization that works to improve the lives of persons with disabilities in the poorest parts of the world, and to prevent avoidable disability. Over the years, CBM International has been supporting the Nigerian government through various implementing partners in interventions, such as eye health, mental health, obstetric fistula and disability-inclusive development. In line with achieving the major objective for this mission, CBM International is soliciting competent firm to provide assurance services.

2. Scope of Work:

The scope of this engagement is in line with International Auditing Standards, donor requirements and CBM policy. Interested and competent firms wishing to provide the above service are to submit the following documents for verification:

3. Eligibility Requirement:

1. Evidence of the Firm’s registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
2. Evidence of the Firm’s registration with Professional Certificate (ICAN), Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and practicing License.
3. The Firm’s profile, including professional qualifications of the key staff, past experience with respect to similar jobs which have been successfully handled, audit software in use, etc.
4. Evidence of international affiliation (If available)
5. List of clients.
6. Evidence of financial capability (Bank reference).
7. Audited accounts of the Firm for the last three years.
8. Valid tax clearance certificates for the last three years

4. Duration of Contract:

The tenure of the External Auditor shall be one (1) year in the first instance renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance. The tenure of the External Auditor shall not exceed five (5) continuous years.
