The Formal Education Network for Private Schools (FENPS) is seeking 3 fresh university graduates in social sciences for internship opportunities. These internships will be volunteer positions for a duration of three months, during which FENPS will provide internal training on job requirements and ethics related to humanitarian aid services. Successful interns may be considered for promotion or future recruitment.

About FENPS:

FENPS is a non-governmental organization registered in Somalia. Since its establishment in 2003, FENPS has been dedicated to addressing the needs of vulnerable groups in society, including young girls, children from minority groups, internally displaced persons, returnees, the disabled, and children from deprived backgrounds who often lack access to education, healthcare, protection, and livelihood opportunities.

FENPS envisions a society where all children have access to quality education and are free from abuse.

The organization’s mission is to empower children to grow in confidence, succeed, and realize their fullest potential through guidance, education, and training in secure and caring environments conducive to learning.

Internship Requirements:

  • Must have graduated from university between 2020-2024.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or an equivalent field.
  • Strong interest in humanitarian work and a commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of educational programs for vulnerable children, including IDPs, children with disabilities, and those from minority and deprived backgrounds.
  • Participate in community outreach and advocacy efforts aimed at improving access to education and child protection services.
  • Support the monitoring and evaluation of ongoing projects to ensure they meet the organization’s objectives and standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and deliver training sessions on humanitarian ethics and best practices.
  • Engage in research and data collection to support program development and policy recommendations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports and documentation related to project activities.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings, workshops, and other capacity-building activities organized by FENPS.

Special Note: FENPS maintains a zero-tolerance policy on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).
