Role overview

The EAGLE (Empowering Adolescent Girls to Learn and Earn) project aim is to support marginalized out-of-school girls (OOS) and adolescents aged 15-19, particularly the disabled in other to develop their resilience in livelihood activities

The Chief of Party (Project Implementation Lead) will be responsible for overall technical leadership, management, and operations of the activity. They will ensure that the project’s goals, objectives, and strategy are achieved and that contractual requirements are met on time and within budget. The Chief of Party (Project Implementation Lead) will also take a leadership role in coordination of all activities across all relevant parties, including the donor and all implementing partners of the EAGLE project in Mozambique. He/she will also oversee all project staff and partners to results-oriented planning, leadership, and coordination of project activities.

Skills, qualifications and experience

Are you a results- driven individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and a successful track record of leadership at a senior level? In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of project planning and quality implementation, including providing technical expertise. An individual with the following:

•Substantial experience in managing large and complex grants and contracts within the international development sector
•Excellent relationship management skills and experience working with people in different contexts – experience in risk management, safety and security, and safeguarding
•Substantial experience of creating and maintaining a high performing team, managed in line with organisation’s values, policies and procedures
•Excellent communications skills – able to express complex information in a simple and succinct manner
•Self starter with initiative and confidence to lead in their designated field – can work independently and prioritise own work load

This is a national hire post under national terms and conditions for Mozambique.
