Summary of Role
The Component Lead for Emissions Reduction, Climate Resilience & Adaptation will oversee strategies and initiatives aimed at catalyzing mitigation efforts and strengthening resilience. This role will ensure the effective implementation of activities related to energy, land use, and system transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for emissions reduction and climate resilience based on project objectives.
- Engage with government, NGO, and other stakeholders to support climate initiative.
- Plan and implement activities to build resilience and scale up the adaptation in collaboration with local partners and public sector entities.
- Leverage public, private sector, and partners capacities to transform the systems.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to institutionalize project technical learnings and approaches for sustaining adaptation and resilience capacities.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of initiatives.
- Ensure the participation of women, youth, and marginalized communities in climate action activities.

- Master’s degree in environmental science, Climate Change, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in emissions reduction or climate resilience initiatives.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including government, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Fluency in French; proficiency in English is highly desirable.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
