We are seeking a skilled consultant to help us document and analyze the best practices and key learnings from our program implemented between 2021 and 2024. The program is under implementation in Amhara and Oromia regions and Addis Ababa city administrations with the joint consortium effort of Terre des hommes Netherlands and its implementing partners (NEWA and EWLA), Plan International and FEMNET through its alliance organisations, the New Millennium Women Empowerment Organization (NMWEO), and the Yellow Movement (YM). The program has three outcome areas: the sociocultural, civil society, and institutional domains. The aim of this consultancy is to capture the learning of the three outcome areas of the consortium and partner organisations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct desk review to understand what is planned and what has been achieved towards the goal of the program.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews and focus groups with project stakeholders under the three domains to explain the best practices.
  • Compile findings into a comprehensive learning document or report highlighting best practices and actionable insights.
  • Publish or print the findings in a magazine format to be disseminated to different stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in consulting, particularly women and young girl empowerment programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent story-narrating and writing skill to capture the best practices
  • Graphics and design skills to produce the magazine and prepare the printing material.

Duration:

This specific assignment is planned to be delivered within three months, starting in January 2025.

Terre des hommes, also Terre des Hommes (Land of People, literally, Land of Men) is an international children's rights charitable humanitarian umbrella organization under the aegis of the International Federation of Terre des Hommes (TDHIF), with independent organizations in Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, and Syria.
