Jembi Health Systems is an African non-governmental organisation focusing on the advancing of the area of Global Health through the correct use and implementation of Health Systems and Information.

Jembi Health Systems seeks to appoint a Creative Technologist- UI Designer, based in Cape Town.

Salary: Dependent on experience

Duration: One year’ contract (renewable)

Start date: Immediately

Reference: JEM/P/TD04

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years’ proven industry experience, working on both web and mobile User Interface design
  • Solid understanding of User Experience research and its benefits
  • Proficiency in using Sketch for both UX wireframing and polished User Interface designs
  • Knowledge of Sketch’s libraries and the value of Design Systems a plus
  • Familiarity with prototyping, preferably InVision (we use the Sketch Craft Plugin)
  • Expertise with HTML and CSS, and front end component libraries / frameworks such as Bootstrap and Material
  • Beneficial to have familiarity in Javascript and Javascript frameworks (Angular, React etc)
  • Knowledge of software development paradigms and patterns
  • Experience in the healthcare domain will be an advantage
  • Strong Facilitation skills to lead UX design workshops with key stakeholder

Jembi Health Systems NPC, is a nonprofit organisation that works in developing countries in Africa and focuses on the development of eHealth and health information systems (HIS).
