Programmer management

  • Ensure overall management of the project implementation with the partner in Sudan for timely and quality delivery of set outcomes in collaboration with Program Coordinator/Country Director and Regional Coordinator.
  • Ensure all donor requirements, project goals and objectives are well understood and strictly adhered to by the partner staff in Sudan.
  • Develop work plans with the partner in Sudan and ensure Project activities are implemented in a timely and quality manner in collaboration with the Program Coordinator.
  • Inform arche noVa Program Coordinator/Country Director and Regional Coordinator in case of considerable deviations from the originally set goals and targets.
  • Contribute in development of relevant project tools with AN EA team and ensure they are used properly by the partner in Sudan.
  • Support the Program Coordinator/Country Director and Regional Coordinator in identifying/developing new projects possibilities in Sudan (Proposals/Budgets).

Quality management and Impact orientation

  • Oversee and monitor project implementation and quality of work and reporting done by the partner in Sudan.
  • Monitor the humanitarian context in Sudan and ensure interventions are relevant to the humanitarian needs of the populations.
  • Contribute to the integration of project design/activities for Sudan with AN EA team/partner to ensure coherent, quality and complementary programming.
  • Work with partner staff to capitalize on best practices and lessons learnt on projects implemented in Sudan and share with the Program Coordinator/Country Director and Regional Coordinator.
  • Suggest innovative and cost saving approaches on programming to arche noVa EA team/ partner as well as possible modifications of the program goals to better meet the beneficiaries needs.
  • Provide technical assistance and/ or training, when needed, to partner staff and ensure relevant validation of BOQs/ technical design with relevant Government Ministries.

Coordination & Communication/Reporting

  • Represent arche noVa and partner in all relevant coordination meetings in Sudan with local authorities (Government administrative, UN, inter-agency sectors, and security officials and other relevant stakeholders).
  • Coordinate arche noVa project activities with the partner and ensure good and cordial relationship with relevant stakeholders in Sudan.
  • Support the partner in the preparation and finalization of regular reports for submission to the Program Coordinator/Country Director/Regional Coordinator.
  • Monitor constantly and gather all available information relevant to the context of the mission, including: security incidents, political changes and humanitarian needs and develop relevant reports on the same to the arche noVa Program Coordinator/Country Director/Regional Coordinator.
  • Produce regular monthly security and humanitarian updates and share the Program Coordinator/Country Director/Regional Coordinator.

Finance/Logistics

  • Support the partner in Sudan to ensures proper implementation of administrative and finance procedures in collaboration with the Regional Finance &Administrator/Country Director.
  • Support the partner in Sudan in ensuring accurate and timely accountability of all Project funds entrusted to them in collaboration with the Regional Finance &Administrator/Country Director.
  • Work closely with the partner finance team to ensure all expenditures are within the specific budget lines and not exceeding the set limits in collaboration with Regional Finance/Administrator/Country Director
  • Ensure the partners staff in Sudan abide strictly to financial accountability and procurement standards/requirements in collaboration with Regional Finance/Administrator/Country Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree in; Social Sciences, Project Management or Business Administration or any other relevant sector.
  • 3-4 years’ professional experience, with at least 2 years’ professional experience in a similar position.
  • Clear understanding of humanitarian & security context and operation dynamics in Sudan.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience in NGOs/INGOs
  • Knowledge in project and partner management.
