Final Evaluation for Child Labour project 145 views3 applications

The project ‘Eliminating Child Labour in Sugar and Rice Supply chains’ started in September 2023 and is scheduled for completion in March 2026. The project in Iganga, Kaliro and Bugiri districts was designed to contribute to the eradication of child labour in Uganda, through strengthened civil society action.

A final evaluation, to be participatory and fully inclusive of all stakeholders, was incorporated into the original proposal and scheduled for the final stages of the project. The final evaluation provides an opportunity to assess how well the project has met its outcomes, indicators and targets; to identify key factors that have enhanced and/or inhibited this, and whether and how the project adapted to this; assess overall performance in terms of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability; and to identify key learning and recommendations for PLA, APT and the EU, that may have a wider application for other projects.
