ACF is anticipating funding for a Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Project to be implemented in Mubi North, Mubi South, Michika, and Maiha Local Government Areas of Adamawa State. To support the effective implementation of this project, ACF invites applications from qualified, committed, and values-driven individuals for the following positions:
Position Summary
The Finance Officer will be responsible for financial management, budgeting, accounting, and compliance for the SRHR project, ensuring transparent and accountable use of project funds in line with donor and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets and financial records.
- Process payments, retirements, and financial documentation.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and support donor financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with ACF financial policies and donor requirements.
- Support audits and financial reviews.
- Maintain accurate accounting systems and financial filing.
- Provide financial guidance to project staff as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in NGO finance or project accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, budgeting, and donor compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with donor-funded projects is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- Strong understanding of financial management for donor-funded projects
- Budget preparation, tracking, and financial reporting skills
- Knowledge of financial controls and compliance procedures
