ABOUT SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL

Solidarités International (SI) is a French humanitarian organization providing lifesaving assistance to populations affected by armed conflict, natural disasters, and epidemics for more than 40 years. Project Overview

Solidarités International (SI) main objective was to provide Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services to limit and prevent the spread of cholera among members of communities affected by – and at risk of – outbreaks in cholera-hit areas of Eastern Chad and Western Sudan. The intervention targeted both host communities, IDPs/returnees and refugees through a coordinated response in cholera hotspots in North and Central Darfur, Eastern Chad as well as along the Geneina-Adré route in Chad and Sudan. The response included water provision, sanitation and hygiene promotion elements.

AUDIT DELIVERABLES AND TIMELINES

Audit Period

The audited period will be from 1 June 2025 to 30 September 2026.

Expected Output : A report for the SDC which corresponds to the requirements outlined in Annex 1 and the provided templates and format.

REQUIRED PROFILE

Applicants (firms) must demonstrate:

  • Strong experience (at least 5 years) conducting external audit of organizations in the NGO sector, previous experience in Sudan and Chad is desirable.
  • Experience in auditing SDC funded projects is highly desirable.
  • Fully registered and licensed to operate in Sudan and Chad and be of good standing.
  • Experience, knowledge, and clear understanding of Sudan and Chad’s humanitarian context (preferred).
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (at least for field team members) is required.

  • A timeline showing the details for the completion of the audit substantive work and the submission of the prescribed reports.
  • Composition of the audit team, their CVs, and roles/responsibilities during the

  • C – Profile/CV of the consultant(s), including but not limited to:
  • Training and qualifications
  • Professional experience (specific skills or relevant contexts of intervention)
  • Experience in audits in similar contexts
  • Knowledge of the country/area of intervention
  • Languages

Solidarités International will consider applications from fully registered and licensed organisations only.

  • D – Two References: Provide references for the last two Evaluations conducted (Name, position, organization, email, and phone number).Proposals that do not include at least two references for consulting or research work will not be considered.
  • E – The financial proposal should outline:
  1. Total Cost (all costs should be in EURO)
  2. Cost per day of each contributor;
  3. Additional costs (additional services and documents);
  4. Transport costs (international and local), logistics costs;
  5. Proposed schedule of payments.

The evaluation criteria for the proposal are:

  • Price / Financial proposal and terms of payment: 25%.
  • Quality of the methodology / Technical proposal / Skills/ References: 75%.

Bids that do not include at least one reference for consulting or research work will not be considered.

Please note that only short-listed candidate(s) will be contacted/interviewed.

Solidarités International will consider both individual and team applications.
