We are seeking an exceptional professional to deliver a new communications strategy that puts story-telling and public engagement at the heart of what we do.

ActionAid has deep roots in communities fighting some of the starkest injustices in the world, and is known for supporting people to use their own power to organize for change. But as a highly decentralized Federation with over 40 member countries, we often struggle to make their stories ring as loud and true as they should. The Head of Communication needs to be an experienced, entrepreneurial and collaborative communications expert, with proven ability in implementing strategy with senior stakeholders in a complex context. Experienced in managing a team and all areas of communications, including crisis communications, s/he will also bring experience in working with campaigns, advocacy and fundraising teams to deliver impactful communications to support their goals. A track record of driving communications success in a distributed global organization would be a strong advantage.

Please send your CV and motivation cover letter to [email protected], specifying the position for which you are applying (Head of Communications) in the subject line of your email before the deadline of 30 June 2019.

The motivation letter should explain how you meet the criteria for this role set out in the Job Description.
