YOU’LL WORK ON: As the Head of Procurement , you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing and optimizing our procurement and logistics operations. Your focus will be on leading the procurement team to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality sourcing of materials and services essential for our electric vehicle products, as well as managing logistics to guarantee timely and efficient movement of goods.
YOU’LL HAVE OWNERSHIP OVER: Developing and Executing Procurement Strategies:
- Formulate and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and quality improvement.
Procurement Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Establish a multisourcing strategy considering cost, quality, reliability, and risk mitigation.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Lead negotiations with strategic suppliers while overseeing the procurement team’s interactions with others.
- Implement supplier performance evaluations and improvement programs.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the procurement & logistics team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations.
Process Optimization and Compliance:
- Streamline procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods through effective policies and partners.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with production, engineering, sales, and finance teams to align procurement activities with operational needs.
Risk Management:
- Manage procurement risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements to enhance operational effectiveness.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor key procurement metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for senior management.
YOU ARE
- An Experienced Professional : Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Over 10 years of procurement management experience, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- A Strategic Leader : Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate your team. Proactive and strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- A Procurement Expert : Deep knowledge of procurement principles and market dynamics. Proven experience in supplier management and contract negotiation with strategic suppliers.
- Knowledgeable in Logistics: Understanding of logistics processes, including transportation and warehousing.
- Analytical and Detail-Oriented : Excellent analytical skills for data-driven decision-making. Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- An Effective Communicator : Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Ability to negotiate effectively and resolve conflicts.
- Organized and Adaptable : Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment with changing priorities.
