As Health & Nutrition (Specialist) Manager, you will implement Health and Nutrition projects through a variety of community structures, including community groups, user committees and LNGOs. You are responsible for all aspects of implementation, including partner identification, hiring and performance management of World Vision staff, capacity building of partners and World Vision staff, proposal and budget development and report writing. You will take an active role in assessments and evaluation exercises in an effort to improve quality and increase scope of Health, Nutrition and Gender programming. You will be the key focal point at the field level for Health, Nutrition and Gender programming and will share information to relevant cluster groups, coordination mechanisms, government ministries, and INGO/LNGOs. You will take a lead role whenever possible at such forums.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in public health/Nutrition/nursing or medicine, or a Bachelor’s Degree (in the same field) with significant experience.
  • Five years’ experience in health and nutrition programmes, at least three of which are in a management position.
  • Two years; or more of cross-cultural working experience.
  • At least one year in managing health and nutrition programmes in a humanitarian setting.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of humanitarian standards and practice standards in health and nutrition e.g. WHO and SPHERE standards.
  • Effective in written and verbal communication in English.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
