Practical Action has an exciting opportunity for a HR and Administration Officer in the East Africa office. The Human Resources officer will manage the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR officer will carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: administrative tasks, meeting coordination and scheduling, travel arrangements, other support services as required, including management of our people according to PA Policy and Kenya Labour Law, leave administration, orientation among other responsibilities.This position reports to HR & Admin Coordinator and works closely with the Area Coordinators in field offices.
The HR and Administration Officer is responsible for:
- Recruitment and selection responsibilities
- Employee and consultancy contracts management
- On-boarding, staff exits and separation
- Records management and internal HR communications
- HR administrative responsibilities
An experienced professional, you will have at least 3 years’ experience as a human resources generalist in an international organization
