Agri Service Ethiopia (ASE) is a non-governmental, non-religious and non-profit making Ethiopian Resident Charity organization established in 1969 and is dedicated to poverty reduction and sustainable community development particularly in rural areas of the country. ASE has secured financial support from CARE Ethiopia for the project entitled Livelihoods for Resilience Activity project for the communities in Hadiya Zone, SNNPRS. It now seeks to employ qualified persons for the following posts
IGA and Youth employment Officer (IGAYO) leads the promotion and implementation of appropriate livelihoods activities particularly off-farm income generating activities for Livelihood for resilience project beneficiary households. Ensure Women, Men and Youth engage in informed and forward-looking livelihoods decision-making. Work with relevant institutions for PSNP Households to have increased income from wage employment. The IGAYO conducts feasibility analysis of various on- and off-farm livelihood activities in targeted woredas, analyzes institutional mechanisms to support the women, men and youth, and engages with the private sector and other stakeholders. She/he works with the WTL and DFs to identify capacity building needs of the community and their institutions and provide technical support in program implementation. S/he will ensure that the Livelihood for resilience Project interventions are performed as planned and bring about the desired impact through monitoring, evaluation, and documenting lessons learnt. organizations at grass root level.

Job Requirements
MA/MSc or BA/BSc in Agriculture, Economics, Agricultural Extension, Agri business, Value chain, Marketing or related field
Minimum of 6 Years BSc/BA or 4 Years MSc/MA in related positions;
Personal Competency:
- NGO experience in related positions
- Knowledge of Agricultural Marketing practices and operations
- Training on value chain analysis
- Training planning and delivery skills.
- Computer skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English Language;
- Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, and participatory approach and sustainable development.
- Committed to work with rural poor and willing to work under pressure
