Position Overview:

The Implementation Manager Nigeria is a representative of Laerdal Global Health, engaged by TAConnect LTD/GTE, to oversee the coordination of all partnerships and program collaboration in Nigeria, as well as creation of new business development and partnership opportunities in Nigeria.

Position Holder is Accountable For:

  • Conceptualizing, building, and strengthening key partnerships and collaborations to support the vision and mission of Laerdal in Nigeria.
  • Ensuring that Laerdal is perceived as:
    1. A valuable partner in Nigeria among our priority programs and partners
    2. Global leader in innovations in Maternal Newborn Health
    3. Global leader in simulation
  • Being an active, knowledgeable, and supportive partner.
  • Ensuring that Laerdal activities and partnership in Nigeria are focused on areas where we have highest impact with quality roll out and implementation.
  • Engaging in strategic market and partnership development.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership Development:
    • Lead on shaping the strategic direction for Laerdals work in Nigeria
    • Represent Laerdal in maternal, newborn, and reproductive health and simulation sectors, and network with partners, including the Federal Ministry of Health and development agencies.
    • Foster relationships to position Laerdal as a leader in simulation-based education and digital healthcare solutions.
  • Program Implementation and Advocacy
    • Support partners in the quality rollout of the Safer Births Bundle of Care (SBBC), Basic Emergency Care, and the Helping Mothers and Babies Survive training programs.
    • Ensure results and key insights from key partners is communicated to partners, stakeholder,s and the team in Norway. This includes supporting the capture and dissemination of user success stories.
  • Healthcare Education and Simulation Development:
    • Guide partners in the integration and best practices for simulation and skills labs for healthcare providers and pre-clinical education.
  • Assist institutions in expanding their simulation and skills training programs.
  • Laerdal Profiling and Market Expansion:
  • Support the development of marketing materials for the Nigeria market to promote Laerdal Global Health’s products and solutions
  • Product Development, User Feedback, and Policies:
  • Collaborate with product development teams to provide insights on unmet needs and prototype testing.
  • Stay informed about global health policies and local guidelines relevant to Laerdal’s focus.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health or Business.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in health program management, partnership development, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of maternal, newborn, and reproductive health issues, including the make-up of the Nigerian health system. Demonstrated network within this field and experience implementing MNH programming strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities in English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and environments.
  • Experience working within pre-service and simulation-based education is a plus.
  • Ability and interest to travel nationally within Nigeria and internationally.
  • Experience with personnel management and strategy development are benefits.
