Reporting to: 1° Program Manager, 2° Program Director

Main objective:
Support to the management of emergency projects for internally displaced persons in Cabo Delgado mainly in the nutrition and food security sectors

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Support to the PM in the management and coordination of project activities;

• In coordination with the PM, support to the project team in the planning and development of activities in the field

• Support to the project team in tracking activities / distributions for each component through regular meetings and reports.
• Support to the supervision and verification of administrative and procurement procedures;
• Coordination of activities with respect to the schedule defined by the time schedule as delegated by the PM;
• Support to the PM in the drafting, revision and updating of technical documents such as: ToR, Financing Proposals, General Operational Plans etc .;
• Development of relationships with local partners and stakeholders involved in the project (institutions, donor, community);
• Preparation of interim and final, narrative and accounting reports of the project;
• Support for verifying the correctness of the administrative reporting of project expenses
• Coordination of monitoring activities.

Essential requirements:
• Educational qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, agricultural sector, food safety or economics as an added value.
• Knowledge of household economy in rural and / or urban contexts, income-generating activities and small business management
• Skills in market research and cash transfer • Skills in the distribution mechanism for food-related goods and services in volatile contexts (storage conditions, nutritional value of foodstuffs)
• Skills in assessing / diagnosing vulnerabilities and food security
• Good knowledge of Minimum Humanitarian Standards (SPHERE) and Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS)
• Knowledge of analytical tools in sociology and / or anthropology, as well as in malnutrition, is an advantage
• Knowledge of foreign languages: excellent knowledge of the English language
• Computer skills: Excellent knowledge of the main Office IT tools, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• At least 1 year of experience in international cooperation projects in developing countries

Additional requirements (optional):
Knowledge of Portuguese preferable
Previous work experience in the international cooperation sector in Africa
