FHI 360 is seeking to recruit for a Knowledge Management and Communication Specialist II position. The purpose of the position is to assist program teams to capture, document, manage and disseminate program results, knowledge/learning products and stories to various audiences using a variety of communication methods:

Responsibilities

  • Closely work with the project team to identify, document, and disseminate project activities, achievements, successes, and lessons learned, utilizing a variety of communication channels
  • Work with project team (research, M&E, learning and program), government counterparts and other implementing partners as well as project beneficiaries to identify, document and disseminate best practices, success stories, and lessons learned.
  • Provide technical writing and editorial support to project deliverables and knowledge products.
  • Provide desktop publication support to project deliverables and dissemination of products.
  • On an ongoing basis, work with project teams to identify areas for documentation, collect information through interviews and on-the-ground research and observation, and determine appropriate mediums for documentation and dissemination
  • Ensure that project print, equipment and online materials are consistent with donor branding guidelines
  • Manage content on the project and FHI 360 webpage: develop and review the content, assist in the identification of relevant topic areas, and collect and disseminate best practices through the website
  • Monitor relevant media coverage, take photographs and videos, and maintain a photo/videography library and ensure photo/video release back-up documentation

Participate in Donor and implementing partners’ communication meetings as may be required

Job Summary:

Provides final authorization and approval of the technical portions of proposals and project design, based on the design and direction set by technical leadership. Drafts the technical portions of proposals and project design, based on the design and direction set by technical leadership. Provides higher-level administrative support on core project operations (e.g., update manuals, assist with proposals, and budget tracking). Technical Officers (Level I – III) provide a range of technical and administrative services at increasing levels of complexity to support project implementation and proposal development. Individuals within these positions are expected to demonstrate an increasing level of proficiency with the specific relevant technical area.

  • Moderate knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures by providing technical support for research studies.

  • Demonstrated experience in writing and disseminating a variety of public health work products, knowledge management, including the ability to identify and document project activities and achievements, best practices, and success stories

Experience: **

  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience managing data collection and technical assistance experience.
  • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private company.
